Dr. Chih-peng Lin is the active president of Taiwan Pain Society (2021-2023). He works as
division chief of pain medicine, department of anesthesiology at the National Taiwan University
Hospital (NTUH), with a joint appointment as attending physician in the department of oncology.
He also actively participates in many professional societies including World Institute of Pain,
Taiwan Society of Neuromusculoskeletal Ultrasound, Taiwan Association of Interventional &
Therapeutic Ultrasound. His major research interests are mechanisms and possible therapeutic
approaches for neuropathic pain and opioid tolerance and hyperalgesia, new interventional
technique development and outcome research of image guided interventional procedures.
He is
passionate about education and interventional management for chronic pain, especially refractory
cancer pain, with additional expertise in multimodality guided pain intervention. He is also the vice
chair of Residency Review Committee, Taiwan Society of Anesthesiologists.
